Program Description: This informational program will look at recent legislation regarding
establishing Veteran’s Court in Hawaii and Veteran’s Access to Justice. The format utilizes an informational talk story session with the Honorable Judge Edward H. Kubo, Jr. Judge, First Circuit Court and his efforts to establish Veteran’s Court in Hawaii, and other important issues relating to the importance of a Veteran’s Court; including Bias Awareness; Prevention and Rehabilitation.

*Rule 22, Rules of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii, requires every active
member of the Bar to complete at least 3 credit hours per year of approved MCPE credits;
Rule 22(c) allows you to carry over 3 MCPE credits to the next year.
Lunch will NOT be provided, as no eating or drinking is allowed in the Hawaii State Capitol
Auditorium. Attendance will be taken. Program will begin promptly at noon.
