Make it Monday Forum presents David Shipler

David Shipler is the author of one of the 2011-2013 UAA/APU Books of the Year, "The Working Poor." Shipler's book tells of the challenges low-income workers face as they struggle to support themselves and their families.

Shipler has also worked as a journalist for The New York Times, and has written for The New Yorker, The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times. He won a Pulitzer Prize for his book, "Arab and Jew: Wounded Spirits in a Promised Land," and has taught at Princeton University, American University in Washington, D.C. and Dartmouth College.
