There are few things more worthy of celebration than butter. This crème de la crème of fat is one life's greatest pleasures and for many people a crucial part of holiday celebration. This year, in honor of butter, we're hosting our first annual Butterfest - a two-hour extravaganza of all things butter! The soirée will include:

- a demonstration on how to make simple cultured butter from scratch by DIY cookbook author Vanessa Barrington (http://vanessabarrington.typepad.com)
- a blind tasting of 7+ brands of butter with awards given to the top three spreads
- a butter-centric potluck - please bring a dish to share that includes butter as one of the main ingredients
- "Like Buttah!" An informal, soap-box style sharing of any and all butter stories, poems, odes, memories, and tales. After all, everyone has a butter story, right?

$10 members, those who bring a dish for the potluck, or share a butter story; $15 general
