Port Visit by the US Coast Guard Cutter Eagle

US Coast Guard Cutter Eagle ( tall ship ) will make a port call to the City of St Petersburg June 14 - 16th, 2013
Arrival, Friday, June 14 - 10:30 a.m. (approx)

Free, public tours of the Eagle will be available on Friday, June 14, from 2 to 8:30 p.m. and on Sunday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tours will not be held on Saturday

Parking will be available in the USF St. Petersburg parking garage, accessible from Fifth Ave. S., just east of Third St. and in nearby USF St. Petersburg surface lots, accessible from Sixth Ave., for $5 per vehicle. Variable message boards will be in place to direct parking garage traffic. If USF St. Petersburg accommodations reach capacity, parking is available in the Al Lang Stadium parking lot, located on First Ave. S. between First St. S. and Bayshore Dr. for a $4 flat rate. Parking is also available in the South Core garage, accessible from First Ave. S. between First and Second Sts. for $1 per hour, up to a $6 maximum on Friday or a $3 flat rate on Sunday.
Disabled parking will be available in designated spaces in both the USF St. Petersburg garage and on surface lots for those displaying proper placards. Temporary disabled spaces will be available on First St. S., between Fifth and Sixth Aves. S. Those wishing to board the Eagle are advised that it is a working ship and not fully accessible to persons with limited mobility.
To accommodate the Eagle’s visit, only local traffic will be allowed on First St. S. south of Sixth Ave. S. and on Eighth Ave. SE. There will be no on-street parking along the closed streets.

Prohibited Items: Visitors are advised to leave weapons of any kind at home to avoid possible confiscation or tour refusal. Alcohol, controlled substances and large bags of any kind will also be prohibited. High heels, sandal, flip-flops or shower shoes will not be allowed on the tour as a safety precaution.
